How Evarin Lash & Beauty collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

Evarin Lash & Beauty ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, book a service, or get in touch — and how we use, store, and protect it.
We're an Australian business operating in Brisbane, Queensland. We follow the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). If you're visiting from outside Australia, we apply equivalent standards where required (including GDPR for EU and UK residents).
What we collect
When you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact details — name, email, phone number, postal address (for mobile-service enquiries)
- Booking details — services booked, appointment dates, treatment history, allergies or sensitivities you tell us about, and photographs from before/after sessions (with your permission)
- Payment details — handled exclusively by Fresha and our payment processor. We do not store card numbers on our servers
- Communications — emails, WhatsApp messages, contact-form submissions
- Website usage data — pages visited, device and browser type, IP address, and cookies (see Cookies below)
We collect this directly from you when you book, send us a message, or sign up to our newsletter. We do not buy personal data from third parties.
How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Schedule, confirm, and deliver your booked services
- Send appointment reminders and confirmations
- Respond to your enquiries
- Send marketing emails (only if you've subscribed — you can unsubscribe any time)
- Improve our services and website
- Comply with legal obligations such as tax record-keeping
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Third-party services we use
To run our business, we rely on third-party service providers. The main ones we currently use — but are not limited to — include:
- Fresha — online booking and payments
- Mailchimp — email marketing (newsletter subscribers only)
- Google — website analytics, Tag Manager, and Maps embed
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — travel-fee distance calculations on the Mobile page
- Hostinger — website hosting
- Meta (Instagram, Facebook) — social media presence
This list may change from time to time as the tools we use evolve — for example we may add new tracking or marketing platforms recommended by our marketing partners. Each provider has its own privacy policy you can review. We choose providers who comply with applicable privacy laws, including the Australian Privacy Principles.

Cookies are small text files saved by your browser. We use:
- Essential cookies — to keep the website working (e.g. remembering you're logged in)
- Functional cookies — to remember your preferences, including your cookie consent choice

How we keep your information secure

- Password-protected admin access for our team
- Reputable third-party providers with their own security certifications
- Limited internal access — only team members who need the information can see it
No system is one hundred percent secure. We do our best, and we'll tell you immediately if we ever believe your data has been compromised.
How long we keep your information
- Booking records — kept for 7 years for tax and legal compliance
- Marketing subscribers — kept until you unsubscribe
- Contact form messages — kept for 12 months
- Photographs (with consent) — kept for as long as we use them, or until you ask us to delete them
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)

Children's privacy
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we'll remove it.
